{Fall Decorating}

When we got back from vacation, hubby decided he was going to be the Energizer Bunny and cleaned out & moved the buffet that we were using as an island in the kitchen into the living room. We had been talking about it for a while but I just didn’t feel like finding places for the stuff that was in it.
When I saw it in the living room, I immediately lit up and thought, “I could create little holiday vignettes!” and to work I went. I moved the apothecary jars from our sofa table over to the buffet and filled them with fall fillers, I replaced the candles with pumpkins and last night, I whipped up this little banner that says, “Give Thanks”. I would still like to add a couple of things but overall, I’m pretty happy with the way it looks.

{Christmas Sneak Peek}

I know we haven’t made it to Halloween yet but for those of you who have retail venues know that we have to start preparing for Christmas as soon as possible.
I have been working on some Christmas goodies for a while now. It has taken some time to get it together and I still have stuff that I’m working on but I thought I’d give you a little sneak peek of what I have so far.
This new Christmas line is called Twelve Days of Christmas and there will be several components. This is just one of them.

Do you like? I can’t wait to reveal the entire set. My tentative release date is November 1st. Hope you’re looking forward to it as much as I am!

{500 Miles}

Greetings from California!



It is 11:44pm here on the west coast (my body thinks it's 1:45am Central time) and I'm in the laundry mat in the hotel with my little sis washing clothes. We leave tomorrow & I'm so not looking forward to the trip back. Especially since it's freezing cold back home.

We have had an exciting and yet exhausting vacation here in Disneyland. We rode lots of rides, visited the beach, and walked about 500 miles.

{New Obsession}

Greetings from California!

It seems that Little Miss has developed a new obsession.




For two days she begged for Minnie Mouse ears so we got her some and she wore them all day yesterday. Then she wanted a Minnie Mouse plush so of course she got one of those too. However, nothing could compare to her actually getting to meet Minnie Mouse in person! It was so cute the first time she saw her. She was absolutely star struck. She's still talking about it this morning.

Can I just say that I'm loving being able to blog from my phone. I'm wishing I had found this app months ago!

{A Day at the Beach}

Greetings from California!




Yesterday we decided to take Em to the beach. It was her first time to see the ocean and a real beach.

We arrived at Huntington Beach around 11am so we decided to eat some lunch before heading to the beach. We had lunch at Baja Fresh which is now my new favorite but I digress.

We got to the beach and Em took off through the sand straight to the water, squealing all the way. In fact, she squealed an giggled for two hours! It was so fun seeing everything for the first time through her eyes.

Even though it was chilly & the water freezing, she did not hesitate for one second to emerse herself in the water, clothes an all!



She had a blast and completely wore herself out.

{Disney Magic}

I'm trying blogging from the iPhone so bear with me.

It's been a very busy weekend so far. Emma did great on the flight here. I was a little worried . . . turns out, she's a little thrill seeker. Oh yeah, she earned her wings for her first flight.





The Disneyland Hotel is pretty nice. There's a Tinkerbell border in our room and we discovered last night that her fairy dust trail glows in the dark.

If you walk out of the hotel, you are in Downtown Disney where you can catch the monorail that takes you right into the middle of the park! I'm a 30+ year old woman & I feel like a kid!



We have three more days here & I still have stories so stay tuned!

There have been 3 women in my life in the last 5 years that have been diagnosed and endured the diagnosis of breast cancer. These women I admire because they are fighters and survivors.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and in honor of these women and all women who have endured this disease, I am featuring shops who donate part or all of their proceeds to breast cancer charities.
